About Me

I am a bilingual author, educator, and mom based in Wisconsin. My latest book is Today I Left the House: Diary of a First-Time Mom, a memoir-in-verse that tells my story of becoming a mom in an accessible poetry format.

I have written or co-written five children’s books for Spanish-language learners with TPRS Books. My short stories and poetry for children have appeared in Highlights High Five magazine.

Collaborating with friends on book projects is a great source of joy for me.

I studied writing with an emphasis in poetry at Wheaton College (IL). I am a member of SCBWI and the Redbud Writers Guild.

In the education space, I have taught all levels of Spanish using TPRS. I currently work as a college and career counselor. I love working with high school students!

My husband and I have three children and a black lab mix named Lacy. I enjoy reading, being outside, biking, baking, knitting, and singing and playing the piano.

Friend me on Goodreads to see what I’m reading these days.
